We fund practitioners who work with young people, and in return you bring your practice into our youth programming. The grant and the hours are agreed together, before the award, so the commitment fits your work.

How the grant works

More than a grant, this is an opportunity. You share your practice with the youth we serve, a space to bring new approaches to how you teach and expand your own work. It's meaningful work for your portfolio, and a chance to bring your practice to families who might not otherwise have access to it.

1

We award the grant

Approved practitioners receive a grant of $2,500 to $5,000 to support their work with youth.

2

You commit hours

In exchange, you dedicate programming hours to the young people we serve across the season.

3

Agreed before the award

The grant amount and the hours are set together before the award, so expectations are clear on both sides.

Committed hours will vary. A holistic nutritionist may deliver real value in a few focused sessions or a workshop, while a movement or recovery practitioner working with kids week over week may commit more. We match the hours to your modality and the depth of your involvement, agreed upon upfront.

Who can apply

Grants are open to wellness practitioners who work with young people and want to bring their practice to the youth we serve. We fund practices such as movement and mobility, breathing and focus, nutrition and fueling, and bodywork and recovery, along with related youth wellness work.

Your work may live in our wellness programming through Mountain Heart, or in our programming that blends wellness and athletics through Mountain Forge, depending on your practice and the young people it fits.

We are accepting applications now for our next grant cycle, which we expect to open around November. Grants are awarded in Northeast Pennsylvania, where anyone within the region can travel to our programming. New York is next. If you practice in New York, you can join the pipeline now so we can reach you when grants open there.
