We fund practitioners who work with young people, and in return you bring your practice into our youth programming. The grant and the hours are agreed together, before the award, so the commitment fits your work.
Apply for a grantMore than a grant, this is an opportunity. You share your practice with the youth we serve, a space to bring new approaches to how you teach and expand your own work. It's meaningful work for your portfolio, and a chance to bring your practice to families who might not otherwise have access to it.
Approved practitioners receive a grant of $2,500 to $5,000 to support their work with youth.
In exchange, you dedicate programming hours to the young people we serve across the season.
The grant amount and the hours are set together before the award, so expectations are clear on both sides.
Grants are open to wellness practitioners who work with young people and want to bring their practice to the youth we serve. We fund practices such as movement and mobility, breathing and focus, nutrition and fueling, and bodywork and recovery, along with related youth wellness work.
Your work may live in our wellness programming through Mountain Heart, or in our programming that blends wellness and athletics through Mountain Forge, depending on your practice and the young people it fits.
We are accepting applications now for our next grant cycle, which we expect to open around November. Grants are awarded in Northeast Pennsylvania, where anyone within the region can travel to our programming. New York is next. If you practice in New York, you can join the pipeline now so we can reach you when grants open there.
Thank you for your interest in a Heallist Foundation practitioner grant. We're reviewing applications for our next cycle and will be in touch to talk through the grant and the hours that would fit your practice.
